Hoboken Pie has been serving the city of Austin, TX since 2008 with Specialty Pies, Garlic Knots, Cheesy Bread, Late-night Slices, and more. With high-quality ingredients, hand-tossed pies, stellar customer service, and open later than most restaurants in Austin — it was time for Hoboken Pie to get its name on the map.
In order for Hoboken Pie to maximize visibility during 'Best of Austin 2023,' our team was in charge of brainstorming campaign objectives to get their name on the ballot. We set up two Guest Appreciation Days, where customers could come by for $2 slices between 5-11pm on specified dates between Aug. 10th - Aug. 21st.
With Hoboken Pie only having a walk-up window and no indoor seating, we had to think outside the box (😉) of how to get guests to nominate Hoboken Pie directly. Here's what we came up with:
Large Banners — Two banners on each side of the walk-up window with a QR code taking guests directly to the link to nominate
Sticky Flyers — For each delivery order, Hoboken Pie placed a "Vote for HP!" Flyer to the top of every pizza box with a QR code with a direct link to nominate
Comeback Coupons — Each guest that came to the walk-up window between Aug. 10th - Aug. 21st received a "Comeback Coupon," allowing guests to take 25% off their next delivery or catering order
Story Shares & Post Frequency — To stay top of mind during 'Best of Austin 2023,' my client requested that I create Instagram Stories each day between Aug. 10th - Aug. 21st with a link to nominate, as well as to increase our post frequency
Ad Spend — To gain a wider reach and more visibility, we boosted each 'Best of Austin 2023' post with a $25 daily budget on both Instagram and Facebook
In the end, all of our efforts paid off and Hoboken Pie was on the nomination ballot for Best Pizza, as well as Best Late Night Dining in the 'Best of Austin 2023' Awards for the first time in 15 years!
